Ryan Watts of Jurin Roofing Services receives Liberty Mutual Firemark Award.

Ryan Watts of Jurin Roofing Services. recent Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress MVP award recipient. was recently awarded the Liberty Mutual Insurance Community Service and Public Education Firemark Award for his volunteer work as lieutenant for the Milford Township Fire Department located in Milford Township, PA.

The Liberty Mutual Firemark Award is presented annually to U.S. firefighters who best represent their communities through courageous valor and who best demonstrate the firefighter’s selfless spirit. The award takes its name from the firemark, a leaden plate in the form of a Phoenix rising from the ashes, which American fire offices in the 18th and 19th centuries used to mark all the houses they insured. The firemark stood as a guarantee to all fire brigades that the insurance company that insured the house in question would reward them for extinguishing a fire on the premises.

Ryan was nominated for this award for his everyday self-sacrifice and tireless efforts to protect and promote public safety in his community. His love of helping people has carried through since his childhood. “I can remember watching the fire trucks in the parades as a kid and thinking about how much I wanted to be a fireman and help people when I grew up.” Ryan has now been a volunteer fire fighter for 16 years. He also helps the community in many other ways as a firefighter by talking with children at schools about fire safety and prevention, helping run fundraisers, and helping bring the community together by helping to run fairs and street carnivals during the summer.

Ryan Watts has been awarded the Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress MVP Award for 2013-14. Every year the Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress recognizes and honors outstanding roofing workers from various U.S. regions with their Most Valuable Player (MVP) award. To be a successful roofing contractor, distributor or supplier you must have reliable, dedicated employees. Among those employees usually one stands out. The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards program identifies and honors a maximum of 10 outstanding roofing workers.

One of the winners for 2013-2014 is our own Ryan Watts, foreman for Jurin Roofing Services, Inc. Ryan Watts is a shining example of what hard work, commitment and going above and beyond the call of duty can bring. He started with Jurin Roofing Services as a novice in 2004. In the first two years he mastered the many complex nuances of roofing to become a foreman. His eagerness, capability to learn quickly and strong leadership skills have quickly made him a top notch roofing foreman. Ryan keeps the job site organized and running smoothly and efficiently while still achieving perfection in roofing and contentment among his crew members.

Ryans ability to lead and mentor along with his strong work ethic ensures that our projects are completed on schedule while still achieving the top quality work our clients have come to expect from Jurin Roofing. Soft spoken and intelligent, Ryan’s communication skills set our clients at ease. He can easily explain complex roofing details to our clients and make them feel at ease and in control of their project. Ryan’s strong communication skills also help keep the administration side of our projects on track with constant communication from the field back to the office regarding any change order requests or project updates.

One of Ryan’s greatest strengths is his leadership and ability to help others grow in their position. He always takes the time to build skills in others creating the leaders of tomorrow. His passion and enthusiasm are contagious on the roof and he effortlessly builds excitement and pride among his crew members. Dedicated and passionate about his work, he never misses a day and is always the first on the roof in the morning and the last off at night.

Outside of work Ryan is a volunteer fire fighter for the Milford Township Fire Department. Winning a Most Valuable Player (MVP) award is an outstanding accomplishment and great honor. MVPs are role models who demonstrate work-related and personal goals to which others aspire.
